Sherwood Reserve

Great playground and the Sherwood Forest theme is cool, with oversized giant seats with viking-like faces on them. Good for all ages in a nice big grassy park dotted with shady trees. At the stream we saw ducks, ducklings, pukekos and eels. There's a drinking fountain next to the toilets.

great playground! caters to all sorts of age groups. There is works happening at the pond, so can’t go down there, however young ones would love seeing the digger and if you’re lucky you’ll meet the wee duck family too!

This is our local "Go to" playground. It has a cool theme with the benches and carvings reflecting Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood. The base is bark, there are little swings and big swings, a number of climbing frames / fort, a large sun sail area with tables and new toilets right by the playground. Sherwood Takeaways and the dairy cover the snacks options. No coffee though - would be a great spot for a cafe! There are ducks to feed and eels to spot in the stream and ponds, and concrete walking tracks good for strollers, bikes and scooters. Just a great wee spot to burn off some energy and get outside.
